Responsibilities:
Requires 7 to 10 years' experience in qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of benefactors with a demonstrated track record of securing major and planned gifts of $100,000+. Incumbent must be self-motivated, self-directed and a highly organized individual who will promote a productive, collegial workplace and be a professional ambassador for Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and Foundation. Belief in the mission and strong ethical conduct is essential. Requires excellent oral and written communications skills, a broad-based knowledge of fund development and the ability to work effectively in a consensus-style operation that expects and promotes teamwork. Additionally, the incumbent must possess the ability to inspire trust and confidence, and communicate effectively with internal and external audiences, be a creative team player, a forward thinker, manage growth, organized, deadline-oriented, and work in a fast-paced team environment. Must possess the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. Throughout the process, the Sr. Director of Major and Planned Gifts will be expected to work cooperatively and strategically with development colleagues and members of the board of directors and volunteers of the Center and Foundation. Must be proficient in the use of information technology, MS Office and management of database systems.. Salary commensurate with experience.

Education:
A Bachelor's degree is required. A Master's degree and/or CFRE is preferred.
