Tumor Conferences
Tumor conferences are designed to meet the educational needs of physicians -- primarily medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and surgeons -- within the communities of Baton Rouge, Covington, Gonzales and Bogalusa. The conferences provide a forum for each of several specialties to educate the others about their particular role in oncologic care. The multi-disciplinary panel acts as a working team, discussing aspects of diagnosis and therapy pertaining to specific current cancer patients.
Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center is accredited by the Louisiana State Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians. |
