It is important to us that you know you are not alone. In addition to the many programs and services provided by Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center there are also agencies in the community whose purpose is to help patients and their families face the problems associated with cancer.
Mary Bird Perkins treats the whole patient and the family, not just the disease. As compassionate caregivers, our staff helps patients and their loved ones cope with the physical, emotional, financial and lifestyle changes associated with cancer and receiving treatment. In addition to providing social, dental, nutritional, financial and transportation services to patients, we provide Lymphedema clinics, genetics counseling clinics, as well as information other educational programs. We also work to provide patients and their caregivers information about community support groups.
