Together, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center coordinate the entire continuum of cancer care. For over a century combined, we have delivered – with compassion and excellence – the most advanced cancer care available to Louisiana citizens. Our comprehensive cancer program has been accredited since 1992 by the American College of Surgeons -- the gold standard for outstanding cancer programs. Approval is given only to those facilities that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality cancer care and undergo a rigorous evaluation process. Recently, after an on-site visit by a physician surveyor, the Cancer Program of Our Lady of the Lake and Mary Bird Perkins had zero deficiencies and earned approval with eleven total commendations.
